100th Anniversary of the Jewish Home for the Aging

Paul recently sang at a concert celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Jewish Home for the Aging with Cantor Nate Lam, Cantor Judy Greenfeld, Cantor Marcus Feldman and Cantorial Intern Sarah Fruchtman. It was a wonderful event and he had a great time.


Paul’s new “Oseh Shalom” was chosen to be presented at this years “Composers Workshop” at the ACC/GTM convention in Portland. Last year his new “Shalom Rav” was presented and well received at the “Choral Composers Workshop” at the ACC/GTM convention in Boston.

Max Helfman Composers Institute

Paul is now a proud member of the Max Helfman Composers Institute for New Jewish Music. The Institute brings together experienced and gifted Jewish songwriters and composers, most of who, are not writing Jewish music and has them write music for today’s synagogue experience.

January 25th, 26th and 27th was an incredible weekend of new music with a Friday Night service at Temple Valley Beth Shalom in Encino, a Shabbat morning service at Temple Aliyah in Woodland Hills and a Sunday concert at Wilshire Blvd. Temple. Paul sang Friday night, introduced a new piece of his on Shabbat morning and closed the entire weekend on Sunday singing Bring Peace / Sim Shalom from his new album on Sunday.

Last year Paul sang at “New Perspectives on Jewish Music”, an innovative Friday Night service/concert presented by the Jewish Music Commission of Los Angeles at Temple Valley Beth Shalom in Encino, CA. The program introduced the new music of the Helfman Composers Institute. It was a fantastic night.
